About the seminar

Workshop Description

Overview

Zheng’s Tuina is a distinguished school of TCM manual therapy, founded by Professor Zheng Huaixian and developed at Chengdu Sport University. Its core philosophy is the integration of martial arts and medicine.

This hands-on seminar focuses on the seven core techniques of the school: stroking, kneading, squeezing, pushing, twisting, shaking and striking. Each technique is demonstrated and then practised, with attention to the key points of execution and its clinical application. The seminar then shows how the techniques are combined with acupoint prescriptions to treat two of the most common complaints in daily practice: low back pain and neck pain.

The lecturer is an orthopedic physician specializing in degenerative joint diseases, sports-related trauma, and foot and ankle deformities, who applies Zheng’s Tuina routinely in his own clinical work. Participants will leave able to perform the basic operations of all seven techniques, and with a clear workflow for combining Tuina with acupuncture.
